I started making jewellery as a hobby using vintage treasures and this has gradually expanded over the last 7 years. In August 2004 I started an apprenticeship with a silver and goldsmith based in Northumberland and as a consequence I started my own business and now run a shop in Corbridge.
My work was once described as being 'traditional with a quirky edge' and it encompasses my aesthetics, to create jewellery that is substantial, simple, traditional yet a bit different.
My latest collection has evolved around the idea of personalisation. After making small 'word' charm pendants it became clear that my customers liked to have a simple design which could be tailor-made just for them. The Aureole, Doric and Stacking Rings range all reflect this idea.
The Sealed range was developed over a number of years after seeing the popularity of traditional signet rings with 'Seals' engraved on and wanting to develop something a bit more feminine but still retaining the weight.
I provide a bespoke and personal service; I want my clients to have something that is personal and unique, something that they can treasure: an heirloom! This approach works well for my wedding clients, both the bride and groom; I am able to tailor make wedding and engagement rings specific to individual requirements to make something truly unique.
